19th Century America.

In development:

THE LOOMIS GANG
A 19th Century Crime Drama

Based on a true story about the infamous Central New York State criminal-terrorizing family known as "The Loomis Gang." Legend places their 1800s dealings from Canada to below the Mason-Dixon Line, and from Maine to Missouri and workings with Jesse James.

The Loomis family exploits include robberies, rustling, arson, horse thievery, vigilante raids, a future U.S. Congressman, hangings, an abolitionist, Native Americans, and the giant quicksand-filled Nine Mile Swamp. They went so far as to destroy indictments against themselves by burning down the Morrisville, NY Courthouse in 1864!

Writer and director George Boyce's lifelong best friend, Larry Loomis, is a descendent of the Loomis Gang. They grew up talking about the gang and wandering the Loomis territories. Larry serves as a technical consultant. In the film he will play the head of the Loomis Family. Other Loomis descendants will also appear as family members.

THE CAST

Lawrence "Larry" Loomis will bring to life his distant relative, Washington Loomis.

Larry grew up in Utica, NY, where he was active in school dramatics. Sergeant Loomis is a retired policy officer with the Utica Police Department. He served 20 years with the UPD, three as a member of their Mounted Horse Patrol.

During the Vietnam conflict, he served six years with the US Air Force as a missile guidance systems mechanic. He also served 26 years with the U.S. Army Reserve, was a member of the Army Rifle and Pistol Team, and saw combat in the Desert Storm War as a medic and security head.

With a lifelong fascination of his Loomis Gang ancestors, and a personality reportedly similar to that of "Wash," his portrayal will be a milestone!
