GLENARA, founded by George Boyce, emerged in the early 1960s as an AKC registered show and breeding kennel. Initially a Collie and Shetland Sheepdog kennel, Glenara through the years has shown AKC Champion Lasa Apsos, Norwegian Elkhounds, Australian Terriers and now Pembroke Welsh Corgis.
In addition, outdoor magazine articles, TV programming and product testing have long been a part of Glenara's work. A former professional water skier, coach and water show producer, we have a long history of boating, automotive and outdoor sports, hunting and fresh and saltwater tournament fishing. Most recently, George has put his film acting experience to work with several original films now in process. Please read on!
About Film Production After decades in radio and TV as an on-air personality, programming, management and stage and motion picture acting, GLENARA PRODUCTIONS was a natural extension. We currently have one film, Vineyards of Death, in production and four other films in various stages of production and development. About Horticulture GLENARA NURSERIES has evolved from the 1970s to present as growers and hybridizers of lilacs, daylilies, Siberian and Japanese iris. Glenara has been a test garden for larger hybridizers of roses, fruit trees and iris. Glenara was also a host garden for the American Japanese Iris Society's national convention in the mid-1980s. Today, Glenara's colorful display gardens serve as a warm welcome to travelers, vacationers and race fans entering the area. Click on HORTICULTURE to learn more about our horticultural offerings. About Antiques & Collectibles Glenara's other interests and endeavors are in the areas of antiques and Native American art, including jewelry, pottery, carving and sculpture. We have life long involvement and expertise in model trains, Early American furniture and implements and pattern glass. We have assisted others in finding special pieces of Native American art through our many direct connections.
